Statement of Interest
Currently, I have four passions. My first passion is to provide the best knowledge, understanding, and skill in education for everybody involved in education (informal, non-formal, and formal).  The second is to focus on the process of teaching and learning that will help to further the educational process.  The third passion is to create a new system and environment of learning that will meet the challenges of the 21st century learning. The last passion, not the least but on contrary is one of the most important, is to speak the truth of God through His word in meeting the challenges and issues of the 21st century that gradually infiltrates the life of the people of God.

Education
09.2011 – 05.2013        Calvin Theological Seminary; (Master of Divinity)
Michigan, USA                     Studying to become a pastor.  Theological studies included original languages of the Scripture (Hebrew and Greek), systematic theology, pastoral counselling, theological formation, church polity, and sociological approach.

09.2002 – 05.2006      Trinity International University; (Ph.D. in Educational Studies)
Illinois, USA                         My dissertation focused on the impact of architecture on student learning.  It was a case study as I was carefully studying the architecture of Calvin College, which was designed by William Fyfe who was the direct of student of the world famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright.  The connection between the built environment and the process of learning was fascinating that even the choice of lighting could hamper learning altogether.  In my Ph.D. studies, I focused on the curriculum, education system, and philosophy of education.

09.1998 – 05.2000       Calvin Theological Seminary; (Master of Arts in Educational Ministry)
Michigan, USA                     My thesis was on the role of philosophy on seminary education in Indonesia.  I studied the traces of the influence of philosophy in the teaching and learning process and materials of the seminary studies.  I studied very rigorously the curriculum design and the philosophy of education behind any curriculum.  In my study at the seminary I took the opportunity to take some advanced philosophy classes from Calvin College.

08.1992 – 06.1996       Petra Christian University; (BA in Architecture)
Surabaya, Indonesia           in my study of architecture I was fascinated with classical and postmodern architectures.  It is the philosophical thought behind every single detail that is very interesting.  My mind was blown by the design of Emilio Ambasz that incorporated nature in his design so radically.  For example the ACROS building in Fukuoka Japan introduced a radically new concept of green design in the middle of the heavily urban setting.  In my last project I designed a green building that rejuvenated the housing of the people in Klojen Malang.  The overall design was meant to bring the people to live well in a clean and in an environment that would highlight nature in the midst of a heavily urban setting of Malang city.  I designed the housing complex that utilized the natural resources where people could work it out for the purpose of their daily work to gain income and take care of their families.
